2018

Synthgene Founded

The R&D and Production Center has settled in Jiangsu Life Science and Technology Park, where a cooperation agreement was signed, covering a total gross floor area of 5,000 square meters.

2019

Scale-up Production

Completed the R&D-to-production transfer of nucleosides, modified nucleosides, phosphoramidites, and other core raw materials for oligonucleotide drugs.

2020

Patent Granted

Successfully obtained patent grant for an independently developed novel cap analog from the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA).

2021

Major Breakthrough

The production base has been delivered, providing ton‑scale quantities of high‑quality nucleic acid raw materials.

2022

Funding Secured

Completed a Series A+ funding round of over RMB 300 million. Launched the national “open competition” major technological breakthrough project. Secured a Type II DMF filing with the FDA for core raw materials of mRNA vaccines.

2023

Award Received

Awarded the title of “2023 Jiangsu Provincial SRDI SME” (Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative SME). Selected for the 2022 China Potential Unicorn List. Established Areterna subsidiary, completing the global layout.

2024

SRDI Enterprise

Awarded the title of “National SRDI ‘Little Giant’ Enterprise”. Recognized as a “Jiangsu Provincial Potential Unicorn Enterprise”. Commenced production at the Synthgene Yixing plant.

2025

New Journey

Officially launched the Yixing "Chip" factory for nucleic acid drug raw materials. Designated as a Jiangsu Provincial Enterprise Technology Center.
